Fake: Zelenskyi Refuses to Extend Military Actions to Russia’s Crimea // StopFake.org

President Zelenskyi did not make any statements about Crimea belonging to Russia. What he actually said was that Russia can be forced to withdraw its troops from the occupied Crimea by political pressure. This option will help Ukraine save the lives of its citizens.

Manipulation: West Refuses to Provide Ukraine With Security Guarantees // StopFake.org

A column in the Ukrainian online newspaper EuropeanPravda by lawyer Mykhaylo Soldatenko examining the wording and nature of the treaty on future security commitments that Ukraine plans to sign with its allies is being touted by Kremlin propagandists as an example of the West refusing to provide Ukraine with security guarantees. Soldatenko does not write that the G7 countries refuse to provide security guarantees, he simply points out that the word “guarantees” did not appear in the G7 leaders’ declaration after the NATO summit. Ukraine is currently negotiating with the United States and Britain on a bilateral agreement on security guarantees.

A post shared on Facebook purports Orthodox relics from Kyiv, Ukraine are set to be auctioned at the Osenat Auction House in France on Oct. 1.

Verdict: False
An Oct. 1 auction listed on Osenat’s website focuses on “The Interiors of Versailles,” not Orthodox relics from Kyiv, as the post suggests. An Osenat spokesperson denied the claim’s validity in an email to Reuters.

Fake: Ukraine to Mobilize 30,000 Canadians Says Ukrainian Defense Minister // StopFake.org

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has not asked the Canadian government to send 30,000 Canadians of Ukrainian origin to Ukraine. He never said the words that are being attributed to him in Russian media and in various social media posts. The quote comes from a Russian satirical Telegram channel.

Fake: Ukraine Wants to Ban Teenagers Aged 16 From Leaving The Country // StopFake.org

A draft law on the protection of children’s rights during temporary departure from the country, which aims to unify Ukrainian legislation with that of the European Union. Parliamentarians propose to limit independent travel from Ukraine abroad for teenagers aged 16 to 18. Teenagers will be able to make such trips only if accompanied by a parent or trusted person.

Fake: Ukrainians Call to Ban Tetris Says French Media Outlet 20 Minutes // StopFake.org

StopFake journalists were unable to find any such video on the official platforms of the media. Most likely, this video was fabricated. The perpetrators deliberately used the logo of a well-known French media outlet and its design for propaganda purposes.

Fake: Weapons Bound for Ukraine Cause Turkish Port Blast // StopFake.org

No weapons or military equipment were found at the site of the explosion in the western Turkish port of Derince. The August 7 blast that rocked the grain silos located near the port was most likely caused by wheat dust compression, according to local officials and experts. The incident is currently under investigation.

Fake: West Preparing to “Liquidate” President Zelensky // StopFake.org

An article in the American publication Politico examining Kyiv’s plan if Russia assassinates President Volodymyr Zelensky has given rise to a wave of Russian fakes claiming the West is fed up with the Ukrainian President and plans to “liquidate” him. There is absolutely nothing in the article about removing Zelensky, it simply examines possible scenarios in the event of a Russian assassination attempt on the President of Ukraine.

Verdict: FBI director didn’t confirm Joe Biden bribery investigation.
There is a continuing investigation in Delaware into Hunter Biden, the president’s son. Wray did not say that Joe Biden is also being investigated. He said he would not say who is or isn’t being investigated, or for what, as part of the FBI’s long-standing policy.

Manipulation: Presidential Office of Ukraine Threatens Poland With Relations Severance // StopFake.org

The information about 10,000 Poles allegedly dying in Russia’s war against Ukraine is baseless. The publication in Myśl Polska, which is cited by the Russian media, does not exist. This was announced by the media’s editorial board.
